20 Useful Gift Ideas for the Man in Your Life
Christmas and birthdays make me panic.
It’s not because of the hustle and bustle. Nor is it because of the commitments, the overwhelm, or the money we spend. (Although, those do cause some angst if I’m honest.)
What really makes me stress during the holidays and on birthdays is trying to find cool and useful gifts for my hard-to-buy-for husband. I stress out about finding gifts he will love.
Finding cool gifts for him is usually a challenge. It’s not that he’s demanding. Because he’s not demanding at all. It’s just that he has unique taste. And that makes my job a little harder.
In fourteen years of marriage, I still struggle to find cool gifts that he will use and love.
Every year, I ask him what he wants. Yes, he gives me a list and I typically shop from that. But I want to surprise him. I want to wow him. In my opinion, one of the best gifts you can get is something you love but didn’t expect.
It makes me happy to see his look of surprise when I do manage to hit one out of the park.
Plus – as always, I’m all about finding ways to make life easier and more efficient and then sharing my findings!

Finding Useful Gifts for Him That He Will Love
So this year, I searched early for some Christmas gifts that will surprise my husband. In that search, I came across some awesome gift ideas. Now obviously, I didn’t buy all of these. Nor am I saying what he is getting, because sometimes he creeps the blog. 🙂
But because there were a lot of fun gifts to choose from, I created a little gift guide for any other wives or girlfriends or significant others out there who struggle to find a few cool gifts for their guy.
Gifts for the Traveling Man
Let’s start with cool gifts for the guy who travels. Whether he’s a road warrior and racking up the frequent flyer miles, these are gifts he can appreciate.
KOMALC Leather Toiletry Bag/Dopp Kit – This particular bag is made from the finest buffalo leather and handcrafted by an experienced craftsman. Fancy.
But seriously, the cool thing about this bag is that it’s made by a small family-owned company, which was started by a young girl who had a passion for creating handmade leather products.
If he’s a big-time WORLD traveler, well then, look no further. This Universal Travel Adapter includes US/EU/AU/UK plugs that have him covered in over 160 countries. Because who wants to run out of juice in another country and not be able to charge the things?
And for the neat freak, here are some Packing Cubes to keep all the things in order. Seriously, these work great (I know because we have some) by keeping your clothes and toiletries organized and also saves space.
Gifts for the Man Who Cooks
If he likes to grill, check out this handcrafted gourmet spice kit. It comes in 5 flavors: Campfire Smokey Sea Salt, Mesquite Lime Seasoned Sea Salt, Smokey Southwest Grill Seasoning, Grill Master Burger Seasoning and Smoked Cherrywood Sea Salt.
Another fun option is this beer-infused hot sauce 3-pack. Flavors include Asian Sriracha, Garlic Serrano, and Roasty Chipotle.
And if he’s really into chopping and dicing then this 16-piece Kitchen Knife Set is a great choice.
Gifts for the Golfer
If your husband, boyfriend, sig other enjoys golf, (or goofing off on the golf course while drinking beer), then one of these might be for him:
This is a 30 oz Callaway Tumbler Gift Set. It comes with a divot tool with a built-in putt alignment stencil and magnetic ball marker, Callaway Par-Tees, a Poker Chip Ball Marker and two Callaway golf balls.
But let’s be honest, the most important thing about this gift set is that it comes with a 30 oz. Stainless Steel Tumbler with double-wall vacuum insulation that keeps drinks cold for hours.
Now if he’s a serious golfer trying to improve his game, here’s something snazzy. The Arccos Caddie Smart Sensors uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized club recommendations and strategies for the golfer. Like golf lessons, but cheaper.
And check out this Garmin Golf Watch. Not only does it look great, but it measures shot distances with auto-recording for post-round analysis. Now that sounds pretty serious to me. It also keeps tracks of stats, if he’s that kind of uber-competitive golfer. (If not, there’s always the 30 oz Tumbler!)
Gifts for the Bearded Man
Because beards need their own category.
So you can’t go wrong with a beard trimmer and grooming kit, obvs. This nearly has it all with the beard brush, beard comb, beard oil leave-in conditioner, and balm butter wax. The only thing this beard grooming kit is missing is….
This beard shampoo and conditioner for grooming, hydrating and cleansing. Because hygiene, ya’ll.
And then for more styling options, we have this beard straightener. It’s a heated ionic brush comb to straighten your guy’s beard. But P. S., it can also be used by women. So, two birds, one stone. You know?
Christmas Gifts for the Whiskey Lover
These handcrafted whisky chilling stones are made from FDA compliant granite and designed to keep your whiskey (or any other spirit) chilled without dilution. How cool is that? (See what I did there?)
Here’s a premium whiskey decanter and glass set that will let him serve his liquor in style. Made from lead-free glass, it’s resistant to breaking, shattering, or chipping.
And if he has a man-cave, (or even if he doesn’t,) these vintage whiskey wall art prints are sure to be a hit and would be great wall decor in any room.
Gifts for the Coffee Drinker
If your guy loves coffee, this yeti mug might be a hit. It holds 14 ounces and its double-wall vacuum insulation is great for both cold and hot drinks. Plus, it’s dishwasher safe.
If he likes his coffee strong, then you can’t go wrong with Deathwish Coffee. For real, this stuff is awesome. If you like delicious, super-strong coffee, that is.
And, they have the coolest mugs. Their mugs are typically limited edition, hand-thrown by Deneen Pottery.
Gift for the Organized Guy
If he loves organization and efficiency, these are good bets:
A Trunk/SUV Cargo organizer is perfect – especially if he spends a lot of time driving. Not only can he use it to declutter and organize his vehicle, but it can be used at home or in the garage.
And check out this valet charging station for his organization needs. He’ll never have to look for his keys and wallet again! Oh, who am I kidding? He won’t have to look for his keys and wallet as often! How about that?
So there you go. If you have a man that’s hard to buy for, give one or two of these gift ideas a shot.
